About NAATI CCL Prep

A practice platform built around the one thing the CCL actually tests — interpreting on cue, once, with the clock running — then showing you exactly where your marks went.

01What NAATI CCL Prep is

NAATI CCL Prep helps people preparing for the Credentialed Community Language (CCL) test practise the way they’ll be tested — then marks their work the way it will be marked. You sit a full mock test in NAATI’s online format, get an AI score out of 90 with feedback on every segment, and drill the dialogues and vocabulary that actually move your result.

It started with Nepali and now covers all 42 CCL languages, each with its own dialogues, vocabulary and native-speaker audio — see the languages page. Your first full mock test is AI-marked free, no card needed.

02AI marking and feedback

The difference between passing and guessing is knowing where your marks go. After a mock test, AI marks every segment of both dialogues on the same three criteria NAATI uses — accuracy, quality of language and quality of delivery — and gives you:

  • An estimated score out of 90, with a pass check against 63 overall and 29 in each dialogue.
  • A score out of 5 on every segment, the errors it found — omissions, distortions, register, grammar — and how to fix them, quoting your own words.
  • An improved version of your interpretation, with the expected answer beside it.
  • A coach summary: your strengths and the top three things to fix first.

In practice you can get the same feedback on any take in seconds, or use Quick check for an instant, no-wait comparison with the model answer. Marks are honest estimates, not NAATI results — but they point you at the right things to fix.

03How the practice works

Everything runs in NAATI’s online exam format, so nothing on test day is a surprise.

  • Two dialogues on different topics, split into short segments of up to 35 words — like the real test.
  • Each segment plays once. A chime marks your turn and recording starts on its own; one free repeat per dialogue, with late starts and extra repeats flagged.
  • A 20-minute clock and a full-screen layout — no text, no going back.
  • Afterwards, play your attempt back next to the model answer and spot what changed or went missing.

Study tools turn each result into a plan: Fix my weak spots names your most common errors and the dialogues to practise next, a study plan counts down to your test date, andspaced-repetition flashcards keep the words you miss coming back until they stick.

04Content in every language

Every language gets the full library — not a sample.

  • Over 1,000 practice dialogues — 24 in each of the 42 languages, two for every one of the 12 CCL topic areas.
  • Native-speaker neural voices on every segment, with Australian English for the English speaker.
  • Nearly 16,000 vocabulary terms — around 380 a language — as searchable lists and flashcards across all 12 topics.

Dialogues are original, fictional everyday scenarios written for language practice and checked for length and segment limits, so they behave like the real thing. The audio for each segment is recorded or generated in the test language, and English prompts use your browser’s speech engine. Model answers show one good interpretation — examiners can accept others.
