NAATI CCL test FAQ

Quick answers about the CCL test and about NAATI CCL Prep. Can’t find yours? Get in touch.

01About the CCL test

How many points is the CCL worth?
A CCL pass can add points to a points-tested skilled migration application. The number and eligibility are set by the Department of Home Affairs, so check their current points table.
How long is the test?
Two dialogues of about 300 words each. NAATI notes deductions are more likely if the total recording runs past 20 minutes.
What is the pass mark?
63 out of 90, with at least 29 out of 45 in each dialogue.
Can I ask for a segment to be repeated?
Yes — one segment per dialogue without penalty. Further repeats cost marks.
Where do I book?
Through NAATI. Our CCL test guide has the details and a link to NAATI’s page.

02About NAATI CCL Prep

Is NAATI CCL Prep part of NAATI?
No. It’s an independent practice platform and isn’t affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to NAATI. For official information see NAATI’s CCL test page and its official CCL practice materials by language.
Which languages can I practise?
All 42 CCL languages, each with 12 dialogues — one for each CCL topic area. See the languages page.
Is it free?
You can try it free: your first AI-marked mock test, four practice sessions, three AI evaluations of practice, two dialogues and the Business vocabulary. A one-off pack unlocks everything (5 mock tests and 30 days’ full access for $29, or 12 mock tests and 90 days’ full access for $59) — no subscription, no auto-renewal, mock tests never expire, and a 3-day refund. See pricing.
Are my recordings uploaded?
Yes, when you save an attempt — so you can replay it from your history on any device. Only you can access them, and deleting an attempt or your account deletes them. See the privacy policy.
Can practice here guarantee a pass?
No. It helps you get used to the format, but only NAATI marks the real test.
