01Using NAATI CCL Prep
By creating an account or using NAATI CCL Prep you agree to these terms, our privacy policy and our disclaimer. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service. These terms cover the website and everything inside it — mock tests, practice, AI marking, vocabulary and flashcards.
02Who we are
NAATI CCL Prep is an independent practice service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to NAATI. “We” and “us” mean the operator of NAATI CCL Prep. Contact: contact page.
03Who can use it
You must be at least 18, or use the service with the permission of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms for you and makes any purchase. You must give accurate account details.
04Personal study only
NAATI CCL Prep is for your own exam preparation. You may not:
- copy, download in bulk, record, or redistribute dialogues, transcripts, model answers, vocabulary or audio;
- share your account, resell access, or use the material to run a paid course or coaching service;
- scrape the service, automate it, overload it, or try to get around its limits or security;
- try to make the AI marking produce anything other than feedback on your interpretation;
- copy, decompile or reverse engineer the software, or remove copyright or other notices;
- upload malware, or harass, impersonate or mislead anyone;
- use the service for anything unlawful, or upload anything offensive or that you don’t have the right to share.
05Browser and device requirements
- NAATI CCL Prep works best in Chrome or Edge on a computer with a microphone. Mock tests and AI evaluation need your browser’s speech recognition, which is currently available in Chrome and Edge.
- Safari and Firefox can practise and use Quick check, but can’t take mock tests or get AI evaluation (no speech recognition).
- You need a working microphone, speakers or headphones, and a stable internet connection.
- Please check your browser and microphone with your free mock test before buying a pack. Browser makers can change or remove features, and we can’t guarantee every browser or device will work.
06AI-generated content, marking and results
- Our study material is made with AI. Dialogues, translations, model answers, vocabulary lists and audio are created with the help of AI tools (language models and synthetic voices) and then checked and edited by us. We work to keep them accurate, but they may still contain errors, unnatural phrasing or regional differences. Please don’t rely on them as authoritative translations.
- Marking and feedback are automated. Marks, bands, feedback, improved versions and suggested vocabulary are generated by AI from the text your browser’s speech recognition produced. Speech recognition can mishear you, and the AI can be wrong or inconsistent. They are estimates to help you study, not NAATI results, and they aren’t reviewed by a human examiner.
- No guaranteed results. An estimated pass doesn’t mean you’ll pass the real test, and an estimated fail doesn’t mean you’ll fail. Your CCL result, any points for a visa, and any migration outcome depend on NAATI, the Department of Home Affairs and your own performance — not on NAATI CCL Prep.
- You use AI-generated content and marks at your own judgement. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t responsible for test results, fees, or decisions you make in reliance on them (see Limitation of liability).
- Free accounts have daily AI-evaluation limits and packs have a fair-use daily limit, so the service stays available for everyone.
07Content and ownership
- The software, design and the selection, arrangement and editing of the study material in NAATI CCL Prep belong to us, and the material was written for this service — it isn’t copied from NAATI or other providers. To the extent any rights exist in it (including in AI-assisted material), they are ours or our licensors’. Using the service gives you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use it for your own study while your account is open.
- Dialogues are fictional. Any resemblance to real people or cases is coincidental. Model answers are one acceptable interpretation, not the only correct one.
- “NAATI” and “CCL” are used only to describe the test the service helps you prepare for. Any trade marks belong to their owners, and their use doesn’t imply any endorsement.
- Your recordings, transcripts and notes stay yours. You let us store and process them, including sending transcripts to our AI provider for marking, only to provide the service to you, as described in the privacy policy. We don’t publish them or use them to train AI.
- We may add, change or remove material at any time.
08Discussions and reports
- Each dialogue has a discussion for tips and questions. What you post is visible to other learners with your first name and last initial. Be kind and on-topic. Don’t post links, contact details, other people’s personal information, advertising, or real CCL test content you’ve agreed to keep confidential.
- To keep discussions useful there are limits — one comment every 30 seconds and a daily number per account — and comments reported by several learners are hidden until we review them. We may remove comments or suspend posting for anyone who breaks these rules.
- You keep ownership of what you write, and let us show it in the service. Comments are other learners’ views, not advice from us.
- Reports about a dialogue go to our team only. “A similar topic came up in my CCL test” reports help us choose practice topics; our dialogues are original and are not real test material.
09Accounts
- Keep your sign-in details private. You’re responsible for activity under your account.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
- You can delete your account at any time from the Account page.
10Payments and refunds
- Every mock test is AI-marked and uses one mock test from your account. Free accounts get their first mock test free, a limited number of practice sessions, a few AI evaluations of practice (in total, not per day), and a selection of dialogues and vocabulary. Packs add a set number of mock tests and unlock the full library, unlimited practice and AI evaluation of practice (subject to a fair-use daily limit of 30 segments) for the pack’s access period. Packs are one-off payments in Australian dollars, as listed on the pricing page. Prices don’t include GST because we aren’t registered for it; if that changes, prices will include it.
- Every pack is a single payment through Stripe. There is no subscription and nothing renews automatically — your card is only charged when you buy.
- Mock tests in a pack don’t expire while your account is open. Marking the same test again doesn’t use another one.
- Full access period. A pack unlocks every dialogue, unlimited practice, AI feedback on practice and all vocabulary for 30 days (Starter) or 90 days (Exam prep) from purchase. Buying another pack extends it from the later of the purchase date and the end of your current access. When it ends, your unused mock tests stay and can still be taken on any dialogue, your history (results, AI feedback, recordings, notes and saved words) stays in full, and practice returns to free-account limits. Packs bought before 4 October 2026 keep the access they were sold with.
- 3-day refund. If you change your mind, you can ask for a full refund within 3 days of a purchase, as long as you haven’t used any mock tests from that pack. Contact us from thecontact page with your account email. Refunds go back to the original card, and the pack’s mock tests and full access are removed. Outside this, we don’t give change-of-mind refunds, but your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (below) always apply.
- Our services come with guarantees that can’t be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits those rights, including your right to a remedy if the service has a major failure or doesn’t work as described.
- Deleting your account removes any unused mock tests; please ask about a refund first if you’re eligible.
11Availability
We aim to keep the service working, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance, updates or reasons outside our control, and it may contain errors. Outside services we rely on (such as AI marking, payments or your browser’s speech recognition) can also be interrupted. If AI marking is temporarily unavailable, your test is saved and you can have it marked when it’s back, without using another mock test.
12Suspension and closing accounts
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms — for example by sharing access, scraping content or abusing the AI limits. Where it’s fair to, we’ll warn you first. If we close your account without a good reason, we’ll refund any unused mock tests.
13Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the service, including test results, test or visa fees, or decisions you make based on practice material or AI marks. Where our liability can be limited, it is limited to resupplying the service or refunding what you paid for the pack concerned. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can’t be excluded.
14Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
15Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version; for significant changes we’ll email account holders at least 30 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it. Changes don’t affect packs you’ve already bought.
